Ramona Lapsley is a printmaker who specializes in Etchings and Linoleum prints of Colorado Sport fish. She creates her hand pulled & hand painted prints at the Manitou Art Center in Manitou Springs.
Growing up with a family of fishermen, childhood summer vacations centered around fishing has inspired her work with fish. Nature in its many forms and locations provide inspiration for her work as well. She works on a variety of images from gardens, journeys to Arches National Park, Europe, and other destinations provide inspiration for each series of prints. Her work and processes can be viewed in her studio as well as in galleries throughought Colorado. Her prints are part of national and international collections.
Ramona teaches art at Mountainside Elementary on Ft. Carson. When not teaching or printmaking, she dreams of catching the Golden Cutthroat Trout or creating the ideal garden for a semi arid climate.
